Map-Based Alerts
Configure Parameters
Set up to 4 different alert parameters via configuration file
Visualise on Map
See alerts displayed on interactive geographical interface
Automatic Updates
Map refreshes automatically with the latest alert data
Our map-based alert system allows monitoring of up to four parameters simultaneously. The system is ready for deployment with alerts defined and configured through a simple configuration file. The map refreshes automatically to display the most current information.

Original Portal
Geolocation
Interactive mapping of DAVIS stations and AQI monitoring points across Seychelles
Air Quality Index
Comprehensive AQI data integrated with key meteorological parameters
Templates
Valuable template designs ready for implementation across various data types
The original portal features geolocations, Air Quality Index measurements, DAVIS graphs and more. The architecture is designed to accommodate various data sources including BUOY and WAGTECH. This system is fully operational and serves as the foundation of our monitoring network.

SMAONE Project Website
Our WordPress-based website offers easy maintenance without requiring specialised IT skills. This platform could become the next entry portal to the SMAONE project, hosting both news updates and technical information. The site is ready for deployment and can be easily customised to meet evolving needs.

Apache SUPERSET

Data Exploration
Run SQL queries and interactively explore datasets

Visualisations
Create a wide range of charts and graphs

Dashboards
Combine visualisations into comprehensive dashboards

Alerts
Configure monitoring alerts for specific parameters
Apache Superset is a powerful tool for data analysis, visualisation, and dashboard creation. It allows for dynamic data exploration, interactive filtering, and sharing insights with other users. The system is ready for use with demonstration data available from Anse Royale station (160364) for the period 28-29 March 2025.
Visit http://web.smaone.com:8088 to access Superset.
JSON and Standard Databases
JSON Database
Original data format providing flexibility and compatibility with modern web applications
  • Lightweight data interchange
  • Native JavaScript support
  • Human-readable format
MySQL Database
Standard relational database format for broader compatibility and advanced querying
  • Structured query language
  • Robust data relationships
  • Industry standard format
To facilitate developer access, data is now archived in both the original JSON format and a standard MySQL database. This dual approach provides flexibility for different use cases and integration requirements. Both database systems are fully operational on our cloud server.
Status: Operational
FTP Access to Data Files
Automatic Generation
CSV files are automatically created daily from the latest meteorological data
FTP Upload
Files are securely transferred to our FTP server for storage and access
Scientific Access
Researchers connect via FTP clients like FileZilla to download the data they need
Scientists often prefer working with CSV data files for their research. Our system automatically generates these files daily and makes them available via FTP. This provides a familiar and convenient access method for scientific users who need raw data for analysis.
Status: Operational
Connect via FileZilla to unknown link using the credentials provided (davis / davis!97438).
Email Monitoring System
Network Status Reports
Comprehensive overview of all weather stations and server systems sent twice daily
Precipitation Graphs
Visual representation of rainfall data helps quickly identify trends and potential sensor issues
Sensor Readings
Current status of pressure, temperature and humidity sensors across the network
Our email monitoring system sends status reports twice daily to registered recipients. These reports include precipitation graphs and the status of other sensors (pressure, temperature, humidity). The visual presentation of the graphs helps quickly identify potential sensor issues or maintenance needs.
Status: Operational
Cartographic Production: Isolines

Advanced Analysis
Principal Component Analysis incorporating terrain data
Mathematical Interpolation
Current nearest-neighbor and other classical techniques
Weather Station Data
Raw measurements from across the Seychelles network
Our system can produce isoline maps (isohyets, isotherms, etc.) using classical mathematical interpolation techniques such as nearest neighbor. We're currently developing more advanced methods using Principal Component Analysis to account for terrain effects, which will significantly improve interpolation quality.
Status: Ready/In Progress
Example maps can be found in the Download folder.
